When a father has a difficult time getting his young daughter to eat her vegetables, he tells her the story of an unusual friendship between a caterpillar and a blackbird.

A young, strong-willed caterpillar dreams of seeing the world – and doesn’t like eating her greens until a fatherly blackbird takes her under his wing. Together they share the adventure of a lifetime as they journey to meet a series of woodland creatures who will each teach the young caterpillar valuable life lessons. Under the blackbird’s loving care, the caterpillar will blossom and grow into a magnificent butterfly.
